Autograph manuscript on paper, in a single hand, of this sermon, which was preached at the funeral of Mrs. Alice Southcott of Colompton, Devon. Southcott is eulogized for her devotion to the Church and her refusal to countenance "those sad divisions" in the kingdom. Preceded by a dedication to Mrs. Elisabeth Southcott, daughter of the deceased, at whose request the sermon was copied.
